Colne Valley

Ladies Evening 2024

On Saturday 18th October the Brethren of Colne Valley Lodge 1645 in Slaithwaite held our annual Ladies Evening with way over 100 guests in attendance.

This year it was a gala event and was held at Bertie’s banqueting suite. In view of it being for the ladies, in the middle of Breast cancer awareness month and only one day after world breast cancer awareness day it seemed only right to raise charitable funds for the Pink Ribbon Foundation which is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, have been affected by breast cancer, or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment. It is the central breast cancer charitable trust. I am very happy to advise that the room was rocking until 1am and everyone had a thoroughly amazing time and in the process raised in excess of £1,800 for the charity.

At Colne Valley we work hard on our ritual when we are in the lodge and party hard and raise good funds when we are out of the lodge! This is on top of the £680 that brethren raised at a seperate event to raise funds for Yorkshire Ambulance!!
